At Radio Terra Project, we believe that music is not a luxury—it is a fundamental right and a powerful tool for social transformation. As a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, we break down geographic and financial barriers to provide 100% free, high-quality music education to people of all ages and backgrounds across Brazil and the world. Founded by musician and coordinator Lon Bové, our project ensures that any student with an internet connection can discover the joy of music.
We connect and transform lives through 100% free online music education. Working hand in hand with Banda Terráquea, we integrate music, culture, education, and social-environmental awareness across Brazil and the world.

Lon Bové is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and arranger, who has been based in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, for several decades. Merging the roots of Ohio's blues and soul traditions with the rhythmic force of Afro-Brazilian music, he has developed a unique sound that defines his main group, Banda Terráquea (co-founded with his son, Gabriel Bové).

Over his career, his studio work—such as the highly acclaimed album M.O.T.H.—has earned him notable recognition within the industry, including multiple Grammy nominations.Beyond his stage presence, Bové heavily channels his artistry into social impact through Projeto Rádio Terra. Far from just a thematic concept, this non-profit association functions as a full educational platform offering free, accessible online music lessons to people of all ages. Acting as a core instructor alongside other local professionals, Bové teaches guitar and music theory—utilizing traditional blues standards like Stormy Monday and methods like the CAGED system—to provide community empowerment and human connection through music education.
